Monkey Tricks & Treats

Last night we took our monkey out trick or treating for the first time.  It was snowy and chilly and the wind bit at our cheeks.  We piled layers under that monkey suit but the cold was just a bit too much for our little Zoey.  We are kind of purists when it comes to trick-or-treating.  With Arden growing up on in the country and myself spending my early childhood in the Northwest Territories, WE TRICK-OR-TREAT OUTSIDE.  We made a couple spins around a few cul-de-sacs with friends and then it was time to find refuge for those rosy cheeks and tiny chilled hands.  She had a good cry while I tried to warm her tingling hands.  Poor girl.  Sorry my dear.  My bad.

The trick-or-treaters were kind of sparse in our neck-of-the-woods, how about you?  I think the winter has scared all the Halloween creatures away in these cold Canadian parts.

This morning we were up and on the road to the airport by 7am this morning but that was still not before the freezing rain had settled into our city.  Gross.  Why do I live here?  Oh yah, it's awesome when it's not icky-my-car-is-going-to-slide-off-the-road weather.

Did any sweet little goblins show up in your neighborhood?
