Things grow.

Today I clipped the first harvest of my lettuce. Two colanders of bright, crunchy, leafy goodness, I am still baffled by the fact that if you tend things daily, they certainly grow and maybe even thrive. This garden of mine is certainly taking off and Arden has been finding me more and more with soiled knees and dirt under my fingernails. The only thing that was a definite fail so far was my poor butter lettuce. Too much moisture for them this year, I think, they simply rotted off.
