28 hours in transit makes for a very sick and very miserable Erika. Let's just say there were moments of waking up very bewildered Thai ladies on the bus with one hand over my mouth and one hand frantically pointing to a plastic bag.

Thankfully I have a very gracious-care-giving travel companion who stroked my back when my head was between my legs hurling.

I have been chugging my liquids and after one day of feeling slightly uneasy, I am now back to my normal self. Our cheeks are nice and rosey from the beachy sun, and it feels wonderful to have white warm sand between our toes.

Tomorrow is beach day # 2.
