It seems I have an ear infection. After half a day browsing the Louvre in Paris it felt like someone put a clamp on my head. We had to leave early and Arden graciously walked me back to our hotel because my head felt like it was going to explode. After an afternoon/evening of constant napping I felt better in the morning but I still had a plugged ear and felt "off". A day later, I felt like we should make our way to a pharmacy and pick up something or enquire into seeing a doctor. Arden and I quickly discovered the French medical system and were thankful for a kind English speaking doctor and medical-travel insurance. She took one look in my left ear and uttered, "Ooooo, PRETTY!" I am three days into a six day antibiotic series and am feeling a lot better.

It has taken awhile for us to find our feet here in Barcelona. The city caught us a little off guard. Yesterday afternoon I was feeling flustered. Today I am feeling much more grounded. I climbed onto my husband´s bunk bed last night and laid next to him for a while as he read. Almost instantly I felt the same feeling he has carried with him since the day we met. Home.

Happy be-lated Mother´s Day. Sorry I could not call. You have nurtured this little heart of mine.

Good night big world.

Dear Erika....

GET BETTER, ONCE AND FOR ALL

Dear Arden....thanks so much for taking such wonderful care of her. I don't really know you...but think I like you!

DEAR BOTH OF YOU....praying for you as you journey, and especially that you can avoid the pretty bugs. You've had enough of dealing with them! You are loved!

Aw...ear infections suck, but being sick on vacation is the worst! Hope you feel better soon. Seriously!
