Happy Thanksgiving dear friends!

The past few weeks have been a flurry of activity and projects. We were thankful for this weekend and an extra day to regroup, reorient, and rest. We surprised ourselves by sleeping in until 11:30am this morning. Wow. Needed that.

This weekend contained ample time for:

**Giving thanks, feasting and celebrating God's goodness in our lives.

**Special meals and moments with family.

**Keeping my nose in a book.

**Embarking on a new journey nutritionally that will hopefully be a good aid in my road to health and well-being.

**This is a big week for me. I have lots to complete before I depart for New Brunswick on Sunday. This will be my final module in New Brunswick and it is always a rich time.

Reading, reading, reading, papers, papers, papers, (repeat)
has been the rhythm of the past few weeks.

This year was my first time EVER to skip out on pumpkin pie. I love pumpkin pie so much it has been my "birthday cake" of choice for as long as I can remember. Pumpkin pie. We were made for one another.
Arden and I are hoping to have a little more insight into my health by the Christmas season which is awesome because I am about ready to face plant in a mug of eggnog.
Today, we nestled ourselves in a Starbucks with our textbooks and I downed a soy pumpkin spice latte to make up for the lack of pie in my belly this season. It was good. Not as good, but good enough for today. Thank you Starbucks.

I'll check in again before I depart.
Here's to a productive week!

While taking on a new diet is always tough, hopefully it will help with your health in the long run. Glad to hear you had a good thanksgiving!

Aww - hope you have an AWESOME time being at St. Stephens next week. It's your last trip like this, right? (That's what Chenelle and I were thinking when we were discussing it on the phone the other day...) I'm looking forward to catching up with you when you get back and have some free time again. :) It's been nice to hear your little voice on my voice mail lately... :)
