Ringing In 2009- a couple of nomads.

Despite my attempts to be ahead of the game I was still tucking in threads and finishing little stitches Christmas morning.

It seems I blinked and suddenly Christmas was upon us.

I have been so thankful for family, for God's protection and provision in our lives, and for much joy this season. I hope you have had time and space to hold the gifts of this year close.

In thinking about how I wanted to ring in the new year in this space, I decided that I wanted to revisit some of the journeys and travels of 2008 and do some writing, sharing, and organizing from our time overseas (which was a whole four months ago). We blogged a wee bit through the journey but in hindsight I am processing the trip differently. Arden blew through an entire journal and now, in finding places for our mementos and keepsakes and attempting along the way to organize the thousands of photos we took before printing them off, this is where I've ended up.

The first month of the new year will consist of writing reflections on each place we visited, travel memorabilia, and few photo favorites poladroid style along the way.

We are thankful for the days past and the days yet to come.

A happy, bright, and hopeful year to you in all your endeavors both new and old.
