Okay...so I am too lazy to blog

Hey everybody,

After much pestering by my wife, I have finally decided to write something on the blog. I must admit, I'm not really too sure why. I think that Erika has pretty much detailed most of our travels so far, and I'm not really too sure what to say that would be able to expand on what she has already written.

So...I am at a loss as to what to say. How about you? How are YOU doing? I mean it is all nice and pretty for us to write stuff and for everybody to see how we are doing, but seriously, blogging seems kind of one-sided to me. We write a post, you read it, and then if we are lucky, you comment on the post. But the comments are usually in relation to the post. We never really get to see what is going on in your lives (unless you have a blog of your own). So I am serious. Please leave a comment (if you so choose) about how life has been treating you. Or if you don't want to leave a comment...email us. ardenanderika@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you.

Anyways, so that was my little rant about blogging. And the other reason that I have not written a blog yet is because I have been a pretty detailed journal of all our travels in Europe (I started to slack off in China though). And I must say, after spending a couple of hours of journalling, I am way too lazy to blog as well. So there you go.

Since Erika has pretty much kept everyone in the loop for all the traveling stuff, I might as well tell you about recent stuff. We are doing pretty good. It is awesome to hang out with family and just experience a totally different culture. I seem to have been stuck with a bit of a stomach bug over the last week and have been trying to recover from that. The food in China is amazing, the traffic in China is crazy and everyone here lives in a very, very different mindset than North America. It is kind of strange being in a vastly different land. We are going to do a little traveling around southern China this next week, and hopefully seeing a little bit more of this country. Other than that, Erika and I are trying to figure out what to do with our lives when we get back to Canada. So many options that are so confusing.

So...that's about all I have to say for now. I hope everyone is well, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,
Arden

it's too bad you are "too lazy to blog"...or rather that you put your writing elsewhere. I am not sure what is more permanent...a paper journal or an electronic one...but you do it well, and I for one, appreciate reading your point of view on things. So, Arden...thanks! I enjoyed it! Do it again (because the paper journal is less likely to be ready by me). :-)

Wow! Arden actually "speaks". I'm shocked...though I can definitely understand the lack of desire to blog after journaling everything as well! I hope you are able to figure out what to do with your lives back in Canada...but you still have time. :)
