Hot Hair for Haiti.

Sometimes life is just better with a fresh haircut. Tonight was no exception.

Our church organized a fundraiser for a medical trip to Haiti at a trendy local salon in which 6 stylists donated their time to cut hair. There was a massive turnout, so much so that not everyone was able to get their hair done. We also raised a lot of moola. Which was great. All the money goes to little orphans.

I was in dire need of a trim. The last time I got a haircut was before Christmas. I just can't find it in myself to dish out 40 bucks every time my hair grows out. So the hair slowly morphs into a shaggy mess and I continue to hack my bangs.

Now donating money to little kids to get my hair done? Sign me up. And that's just what I did. Again, I felt the need to relish a couple moments of vanity in the bathroom with my camera. A good haircut demands it.

PS: We were successful in our quest and application for a visa to enter South East Asia and as of yesterday we are fully immunized! I will not get sick, I will not get sick, I will not get sick.
Each thing that we check off our epic travel list is making our trip feel like more of a reality. One more month and we're 'outta here! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Ahhh!! I'm so excited for you...I wanna go...and yes a good haircut soothes the soul.
