Good Things.
It has been just about a month since my little pep talk with my nurse friend about lifestyle choices that I can make to be healthier. I have been surprised at how strong my resolve has been to stick to it.
*More probiotics= 1 bowl of yogurt in the morning.
*Thanks to my "old lady" pill holder I've been able to stay on track with my vitamins. It's almost like a little present I get to open every morning. Almost.
*My oil of death is boosting this lackluster immune system of mine. Arden has nicknamed me "pizza breath". Yes, a couple drops of oil of oregano each morning gives my breath a little Italian zest. I religiously brush my teeth after each dose, but the scent of oregano sadly lingers a couple hours afterwards. It's pretty gross.
*I have been getting myself to bed on time. In fact, just tonight we were over at a friends house watching a movie and as the evening got later and later, I leaned to Arden and said, "I need to make sure I get to bed at a decent hour." We left their house before ten!
After 4 years of midnight slurpee runs while in college where I didn't leave my practice room before the janitors kicked me out, and nights where it was not uncommon to not even start a movie until after midnight I'm feeling.... a little old.
My nurse friend has told me, "You're young! You have every reason to be healthy!"
So, it seems like I shall be sticking to my little health routine indefinitely. Look at me go.
Now, that doesn't mean a girl can't have a night on the town here and there.
